Fighters are usually good games but when it comes to pirate fighters, that’s a different story. Soul Blade for the SNES does not make any justice for the real deal. It was a nice attempt while it lasted but that’s about everything it is accounted for. The game is a clone of the Tekken game but at this point it could have been the other way around. You have the fighters and lame music so you know you are playing something very crappy and unless you are blind and willing to do whatever you feel like with the controller, you are in for a nasty ride.

You are at the Royal Palms Resort, a beautiful tropical island in Papua New Guinea. After a night of partying you wake up to find there has been z zombie outbreak. Now you have to not only survive, but also find a way to escape. The game, developed by Techland and published by Deep Silver uses the Chrome Engine 5 and will offer a first person perspective and up to four-player co-operative play. Unlike some other games, the focus in Dead Island will be on melee combat including customizable weapons. In addition, there will be RPG elements like an experience system, stamina bar and a skill tree.

Graphically the game is a bit of a mixed bag. From static screenshots it probably looks like one of the best versions of the game outside of the arcade, and the four stages are nicely varied, consisting of inner-city streets, a factory, a large wooded area, and finally the big boss’ hideout. The sprites aren’t enormously varied but all look suitably thuggish. However, the problem is a familiar one for Master System fans – sprite flicker. Lots of it. It’s often easy to overlook this problem with Master System games as it doesn’t usually affect proceedings to any significant degree, but this is one of the worst cases I’ve seen on the poor old MS.

The game starts you out as caveman of some sort that goes on adventures like saving a crab for once…lol….it does contain some great graphics and interesting concepts. The game is just so damn fun and hard to find. I for once have only found one copy of it and has been loose which is still worth a pretty penny(around 35 US dollars loose according to my friend that owns a gaming store).

We’re all huge fans of the Fallout games, but most of our inspiration came from post-apoc and dystopian books and films. It’s a genre we’re all very much into and favorites range from “A Boy and His Dog” and “Road Warrior” to “Six String Samurai.” We’re also pretty addicted to the Post-apoc shows on the History and Discovery channels. “Life After People” and “The Colony” are two of the more entertaining ones.

With all new levels and the newly added mega buster you are going to have lots of more fun! har har well sort of….you still have to go through the robot masters beat up ratio. You can also destroy them with the mega buster if you are one of those hardcore mega man players. There are also the usual E tanks to help you in boss battles and also your allies Rush and Beat. Well, there is not much to tell about this game. One of the best features I like of this game is the music. In my opinion, the music is amazing and will keep you coming for more.

This PC game is still my favorite of all. Supposedly this is the only keen game that was released in boxed form so this makes me kinda of sad because I won’t find any other boxes as amazing as this one. Before the accidental discovery mentioned earlier, I had never heard of this game. I have no idea how it was received or how popular it was, but I’m guessing it passed a lot of people by, and that’s a shame. It’s not spectacular or remarkable in any way, and I’m sure that was the case when it was first released as much as it is today, but it’s an enjoyable little game and it must’ve been pretty original back then. There is apparently 24 stages to play through here and that should prove a challenge for most gamers, but even if you can’t get very far, you’ll keep trying.

Dragon Warrior 3 is just one of the best RPGs for the NES period. I personally liked it better than part four and more so than part 2. I don’t think the first one counts as it’s more of an introduction to the genre. The graphics of the game are your typical Dragon Warrior for the NES graphics and the music delivers the same Dragon Warrior feel. Old RPG fans will be in heaven with the complexity this game can accomplish. The quest also keeps you involved in the game and makes you want to come back for more.

Some courses, particularly later ones, also feature the ‘gates’, first seen in Super Sprint, which allow short cuts, but only when they are open. Timing the use of these well can often make the difference between first and last place!
