Stupid Accidents

We all screw up, that is just a fact we will have to live with, but what happens when you screen up can cost you your life or at least decrease the fun in living it. Sometimes Darwin is at work here and other items these people are just plain stupid.

Whatever happened to Video Game Pornography

Frankly, absolutely nothing was considered taboo or perverted enough to be left out and, were the book released in our dark and ultra-conservative era, the censors would be having an editing party. What's more, the sex scenes were at once poetic, funny, arousing, plot advancing and brilliantly complemented with giant penises rising from the ocean or extensive descriptions of the ship's library. Oddly, it was quite a publishing success too.

Thriftstore and Flea Market Finds

Well today I went to the thriftstore to see if I could find some Famicom carts but came out empty again well not really. I was able to find some other kewl stuff including a CDX console. At first I though it was a 32X adaptor for the Genesis but when the lady showed it to me it said CDX which I had no idea what it was until I saw the sega logo on the AC adaptor so I took it. When I got home I found out that it was actually a Genesis console with the Sega CD addon which is great because I wanted a Sega CD for a long time and finally got one.

War on Terror

After all, the second edition of The War on Terror will soon be released. And -according to its publishers- it will be great. Spectacularly so. Oh, and yes, you can also get your cute little faces on the game’s money via one, two, three, four, five, six outrageous auctions. It’s all part of the aptly (let alone, cunningly) named Get Your Face on Money craze funded by the ever-popular World Bank of Capitalism. Or -of course- not.

I Killed the Tooth Fairy

Here is a pretty funny video from the guys over at Smosh.com. What happens when you accidently kill the tooth fairy? You have to finish the tooth fairies job. Sure, the guys go a little crazy with their videos, but they are pretty good, have a look and decide. If nothing else enjoy the kicking heads scene.

Little Wars

Playing with toy soldiers in a modern context, on the other hand, is -as expected- a rather more recent development, and as such a more cruel one too. The whole thing, you see, didn’t start as playing per se, but more of as a way to train Prussian military officers in the subtleties (?) of war (Kriegspiel they called it, and it used dice to simulate random battlefield events). The concept didn’t actually evolve into something less blood thirsty till H.G. Wells decided that a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys’ games and books would be a nifty idea.

Proletariat

We’ve already enjoyed Vampire: The Requiem, Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening, Something: The Something Else, but now the time has come to rise, raise our left fist and salute Proletariat: The Uprising. It’s a vaguely satirical, not particularly funny, yet quite interesting RPG-ish board game. Grab it here. It’s free. Obviously.

Die Hard: Time Out

If you are a man you have to have loved the original Die Hard, it had everything including a quick boob shot. One of the cool action sequences in Die Hard was when John was fighting the bad guys in the glass offices and had to walk across the shattered glass bare foot. In this Die Hard parody “John” takes a time out from the action to discuss things with the bad guy and he gets a snack treat.
