In the game, you had various tasks to stop critical events from assassination to terrorism to an attack on CTU. Most of the game was a third person perspective where you controlled Jack or one of the other CTU agents, but there were driving sections, sniper missions and mini-games like hacking into a computer, decrypting a code or interrogating a suspect.

Even if you were never a fan of 24 you would at least have heard of the show and its use of high tech technology and spilt second timing. The people over at College Humor created a parody of the show a few years ago that asked, what would happen if the show used 1994 technology. What resulted was a fantastic trailer and one of what we consider the best of the internet.

Games need to be more like “24” aka the Dead Space Conundrum

In 24, You know exactly what Jack’s doing, where he’s going, and whose life he’s about to turn into a carnival game. The plot-lines are never confusing, and there’s around 7 of them in every season. But they also manage to never get boring, even the ones with Kim (or what gamers call the escort mission) never really become boring in any way. That’s why 24 is such a good show, because there is never a dull moment. Every episode ends with some revealing situation or personality change (or twist, as most people call them) that changes the whole situation of the show. That’s what I want for games.
