Why you should Subscribe to The Obsolete Gamer YouTube Channel

Let’s be honest, there’s tons of YouTube channels out there, great ones even and they are all asking for you to subscribe. Now it’s not a big deal to subscribe to multiple channels, but it would be nice if you knew why you were subscribing so we at Obsolete Gamer won’t just tell you why, we will show you.

Our channel is conversation and discussion focused, we like talking to people be it other gamers, people in the industry, celebrities or fans. However, we split our shows up so you can watch or listen to what you like based on your preference. So here is the rundown.

The Obsolete Gamer Show

This show spawned out of our original radio show where we would talk with anyone about video games. As we great bigger and went to conventions, we were lucky enough to meet actors who work in the gaming and entertainment industry. We decided to change to focus to make OGS the premiere show to showcase those guests.

The Gamer Profiles Show

With OGS we needed a show for the developers and publishers in the gaming industry. We already had our gamer profiles which were in article format, but we thought it would be great to be able to have people see and hear from their favorite developers and publishers from around the world. With GPS, we bring you conversation style interviews, it’s not so much about a specific game, but more the people and companies and even the culture behind it. We love talking to people around the world about games and seeing the differences and what makes all gamers the same.

The Obsolete Gamers

Sure it’s a little confusing, but with OGS and GPS we needed a place for the writers and contributors of the site to just hang out and talk about all the gamer and geek stuff we used to do on the old radio/podcast version of the Obsolete Gamer Show. With OGZ, we record a long show, but then break it down into funny clips and share them with you as often as can. Now, this show is Rated R, sometimes a bit higher than that, but it’s all in good fun and we mean no harm, just gamers trying to have fun and keep it funny.

Alt F4

When we added some professional gamers to the staff the question was asked, why we don’t have a show for them and so Alt F4 was created. This show is all about swagger, we reach out to the best of the best, the ones who believe gaming is series business and have the awards and cash to prove it. Here you can learn about how they got to where they did and maybe how you can to or just talk some trash.

M.A.M.E. of the Game

While Obsolete Gamer is more discussion, profile focused now we are still retro gamers at our core and M.A.M.E. of the game is our show to feature a mix of gameplay footage and commentary with a bit of humor to put our own spin on an old concept. Sometimes we might play a new game, but for the most part we will play a series of older games based on a theme.

We need your Input

So there you have it, we also have non-commentary gameplay footage, classic commercials and footage from events we go to such as E3, CES, Blizzcon, ComicCon and more. We also are always looking for new people to talk to so we take suggestions.

We are constantly uploading new videos and booking new guests so I hope you will consider subscribing and spreading the word about Obsolete Gamer and our channel.

So what do you say?

Come on, join the nation.
