Game Gallery: Puzzle Bobble
One of my reasons for doing this is because, when I first started writing game reviews I found it really difficult to find decent quality screenshots, and half the ones I did find were tagged, which infuriates me. So, I started grabbing my own screenshots and, unlike so many other selfish tossers on the net, anyone is welcome to take my screenshots and use them for whatever they like. It would be nice if I could get a namecheck or something in return, but if not, no problem!

wow!
Are you sure this is worth the effort? It must be a lot of work gathering these screenshots. Time I would prefer you spent writing about the game. After all, there are plenty of places to go if you are looking for screenshots.
Some gallery posts highlighting particularly beautiful games would be nice, but this kind of thing isn't for me.
I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but you did ask for opinions and I'm worried this will detract from what I visit your blog for.
But then, this kind of thing might provide a unique angle and get you some more traffic, if that's what you're after.
I'm all for it if it doesn't detract from normal Red Parsley business!
I wouldn't do a Gallery for many games, and I guess I could've chosen a better game to start on, but I already had the shots from when I played it though! I usually grab loads of shots while playing through a game, so there's a good few games I have dozens of shots from. 😛 We'll see then, maybe I'll do an occasional Gallery but it certainly won't become the main focus of Red Parsley or anything. Thanks for the opinion though 🙂
You're welcome!
The occasional gallery will provide a bit of variety. Nice!
Is there any way to add a lightbox style gallery to a blogspot blog? Something like this (slimbox) would make your galleries look real nice.
I'm sure there's fancier ways of doing it but I really wouldn't know where to start with that. I'm still not even sure what it is after browsing that page for a couple of minutes! I'll look into it though 🙂
