Origin PC- Meet the EON15
Size matters, sure it has been said to death, but that does not mean it is not true. When Origin PC launched late last year they rolled out the GENESIS desktop and the EON18 laptop. A beast of a system they both were, but sometimes you need something a little more agile, here is where the EON15 comes into play. Released today the EON15 is a 15.6 notebook offering similar power in a smaller more portable size.
As always with Origin you can have a custom paint job added to your system done by the guys and gals over at Killer Paint. They will paint your top cover in pretty much any color you want or add your own custom design and logo.
Let’s talk stats, the EON15 runs on the Intel Core i7 processor with up to 8GB of DDR3 1333 MHz memory. Unlike its big bother you will only be able to configure a single NVIDIA GeForce card, but you can select from the 1GB 285M to the 360M.
While certainly a gaming computer, the EON15 can be used pretty much for anything as is with most high end systems. The 15.6 HD Widescreen gives you more than enough viewing space for games, work, and school or even Blu-Ray movies if you opt to add that to your configuration. Also with the HDMI port you can connect it to your Hi-Def television.
The EON15 does not currently offer a terabyte storage option, but you can select up to 500GB of hard drive capacity including the option to add solid state drives. As for sound, the unit comes with integrated High-Definition Audio with 4 Channel support or you can select the High-Definition 7.1 Digital Surround Sound Audio via S/PDIF option.
The EON15 comes with a full-size keyboard and numeric pad and a built-In Touchpad with multi-gesture and scrolling features. The laptop also comes with instant access buttons, stealth mode, which throttles down the CPU and GPU to save battery life, web browser and e-mail.
