Name: Micheal Hogan
Favorite Classic Game: None
Our chat: We had the chance to chat with Mr. Hogan at Florida Supercon and we started by asking him does he ever get tired of talking Battlestar Galactica with people. He told us that he is very proud of his work on Battlestar Galactica and that and since he does not often get a chance to talk about it with fans he really enjoys it.
Next, we talked about his voiceover work and he told us that it can be exhausting because of the long days and that often you have to yell a lot, which can get tiring.
When we asked him if he plays any games he said no, that it was not his generation and not really his personality. He said that games are too new and that he is not really even fond of e-mails or even texting. He told us about visiting his son in Toronto and asking him to get his phone to stop beeping, and when his son looked at his phone, he told his father, “You have 87 texts!” To which Hogan responded, “Get rid of them!”
Hogan went on to say that even with e-mail once you type something that is it as where on the phone where you can explain your meaning and give it context.
As far as his voiceover working and gaming, he told us he does make sure to check out the graphics the characters and the history of the game. He said he does see the games his son plays, but for him he does not really need to play them to be able to yell. “Run Idiot!” in the game.
Hogan told us about his son playing, Fallout New Vegas, and how he cannot get to far in the game because he cannot stop shooting Hogan’s character. We had a great conversation and Mr. Hogan was awesome, not only with us, but also with everyone who came up to get autographic, pictures or just to chat. Truly a classic guy.Be sure to check out our other celebrity gamer profiles.
