One of the most classic and hardest original arcade games out there. The idea is simple, Donkey Kong has kidnapped Mario’s girlfriend Pauline (Way before Princess Peach) and he must jump over the barrels Donkey Kong tosses as well as fire. Besides his timing and jumping skills Mario can sometimes use a magic hammer that destroys the barrels. If he reaches the top he rescues the girls or maybe Kong climbs higher. Funny enough, most gamers never got past level 3 of the original game.

Are there any plans to include the full game or at least all levels? Or, I guess levels is not the correct term regarding this game but all 4 playing fields. Or is that perhaps pushing it, as you put it?
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great that it’s here for us to play at all, and I can play the original game on Mame whenever I want, I’m mainly thinking educational-wise. That is, for those gamers out there who are yet to discover Mario’s origins and hasn’t still found the wonder that is Mame. 🙂
Currently from what I have read there are no other levels planed for this version, but this was created a long time ago and allowed to be shared which is why it only has a few levels. We are looking to see if there are others that we can host that have more features and levels, but we have to be careful that its legal and we have permission.
