The Obsolete Gamer Show: The Patrick Scott Patterson Show

The Obsolete Gamer Show: The Patrick Scott Patterson Show

For this episode of the Obsolete Gamer Show we talked with Multi-Media personality, Patrick Scott Patterson, a man who has Guinness World Records in multiple video games, has appeared on television and in movies and documentaries, owns his own website where he has been writing articles and showcasing gamers and people from the gaming industry for years. Oh and did I mention he was a wrestler as well?

Patrick Scott Patterson

Scott has excellent takes on a wide range of topics important to gamers and the gaming industry as well and he does not just fire them off from the comment section of a website, he gets out there and debates them against a public that often only knows the stereotype of gamers that has been written and handed out to the masses.

If you like a robust conversation as much as I do then this episode is for you. We cover a variety of topics from how gamers are looked at by society at large to video game journalism to cyber bulling and the changing world of video game media including websites, television and streaming services such as Twitch TV.

So check out the show and let us know what you think.

OGX Silly and Serious

OGX Silly and Serious

The Obsolete Gamer Experience is the spin-off to the Obsolete Gamer show and is a show for random craziness. Pretty much we talk about the games we have been playing and other things on our mind. However, we wanted to add a bit more to it and so we set-up a format for the show called Silly and Serious.

How this works is we ask a silly question and then a serious question. We wanted to share the questions we will be asking with our fans.

What’s Next

So there are the questions. Now, we will also be sending these out to people we interviewed to see if we can get any answers from them. As for our fans, we will be tying in our contests directly to posts such as these. Meaning, if you answer any of these questions by leaving a comment on the website you earn points towards the drawing.

Some of the gifts will be very small and simple like video game branded playing cards or a figurine and others may be a 64GB hard drive or a new game or special keys. It’s pretty much like this, we want to build a community and we know people like to post and interact where everyone else does, so we are trying to break away from that by offering a little incentive, so I hope you will join us.

We will be premiering the show next week so stay tuned.

M.A.M.E of the Game: Street Vigilante

M.A.M.E of the Game

We told you we were launching a bunch of new shows in 2014 and we weren’t kidding. We are proud to premier the first episode of M.A.M.E of the Game. The concept is simple and you’ve seen it a million times, but we wanted to do it to so there!

mame of the game

M.A.M.E. of the Game features both classic and modern games though mostly retro games. Normally we pick a theme, in this case, Street Vigilante and we will show gameplay footage of games that we think fit that theme. While playing we provide commentary, humor and maybe even something useful about the game and then move on to the next.

In this first episode we look at a number of games from Streets of Rage to Final Fight. For this episode your commentators are J.A. Laraque and Joshua Laus aka Shinhayabusa. In the future we will have various commentators even some you will recognize. We hope you like the show and as always let us know what you think and ideas for future shows.
