M.A.M.E of the Game: Starbound

We get lost in space with the fantastic building adventure game from Chucklefish titled, Starbound!

Check it out at: http://playstarbound.com/

In Starbound, you take on the role of a character who’s just fled from their home planet, only to crash-land on another. From there you’ll embark on a quest to survive, discover, explore and fight your way across an infinite universe.

You’ll encounter procedurally generated creatures and weapons, discover populated villages and abandoned temples. Explore planets dotted with dungeons, eyeball trees and treasure. Make use of over a hundred materials and over one thousand in-game objects to build a sprawling modern metropolis or a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, and do all of it alone or with friends!

About M.A.M.E. of the Game

Mame of the Game takes something old and mixes it with something classic. The show will feature various gameplay footage from classic games on all platforms. Sometimes we will take a theme like Street Vigilante and feature a few games like Streets of Rage, Double Dragon and Final Fight. Sometimes we will feature on game in-depth. We don’t discriminate, so you will sometimes see footage from modern games and even previews.

M.A.M.E of the Game

We told you we were launching a bunch of new shows in 2014 and we weren’t kidding. We are proud to premier the first episode of M.A.M.E of the Game. The concept is simple and you’ve seen it a million times, but we wanted to do it to so there!

M.A.M.E. of the Game features both classic and modern games though mostly retro games. Normally we pick a theme, in this case, Street Vigilante and we will show gameplay footage of games that we think fit that theme. While playing we provide commentary, humor and maybe even something useful about the game and then move on to the next.

In this first episode we look at a number of games from Streets of Rage to Final Fight. For this episode your commentators are J.A. Laraque and Joshua Laus aka Shinhayabusa. In the future we will have various commentators even some you will recognize. We hope you like the show and as always let us know what you think and ideas for future shows.
