Rebecca Black: Friday

Rebecca Black

You can make fun of pop music or rap music or even J-pop, but at least sometimes the songs are catchy or the artist does have skill even if the song is cheesy. I guess the question you have to ask yourself is does it matter how you become famous as long as you become famous?

Enter Rebecca Black, her song Friday has become a YouTube sensation because of how bad it is. Shall we count the ways it is bad? The lyrics are terrible even for a pop song, the video has effects a mall video recording booth from the 90’s could beat and there is a 55-year-old rapper who has some kind of pedo crush on her.

What’s sad is it sounds as if her voice could be good, but they autotune it and the awful lyrics just kill it. The song is currently pushing 25 million views on YouTube and are full of comments such as.

Congratulations. you finally learned the days of the week 🙂 lol

Ratings have been disabled……..i can’t Imagen why. and lets be honest, none of those kids are old enough to have a drivers license

She tries to decide whether to sit in the front or the back, failing to notice that the front seat is occupied.

She is horrible,This song sounds like a two year old wrote it “ITS FRIDAY FRIDAY

Now judge for yourself.

Here are the Lyrics:

Rebecca-Black-FridayFriday

(Yeah, Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-Ark)
Oo-ooh-ooh, hoo yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah-ah-ah

[Rebecca Black – Verse 1]

7am, waking up in the morning
Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
Seein’ everything, the time is goin’
Tickin’ on and on, everybody’s rushin’
Gotta get down to the bus stop
Gotta catch my bus, I see my friends (My friends)

Kickin’ in the front seat
Sittin’ in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend

Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin’ forward to the weekend

[Rebecca Black – Verse 2]

7:45, we’re drivin’ on the highway
Cruisin’ so fast, I want time to fly
Fun, fun, think about fun
You know what it is
I got this, you got this
My friend is by my right
I got this, you got this
Now you know it

Kickin’ in the front seat
Sittin’ in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

[Chorus]

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
